Ok, so I couldn't decide which one of them to show so I'm showing them both :)) A church without a roof
I am a church without a roof - Don't put your cross upon me! I am far too wide and too post-formal. There were times when I was closed from the above. I wore a star, a moon, a rose, a circle all at once. All of this is in the ground now, sunk in my fundaments where I feed from the past and connect to the timeless. I love your cross, your star, and moon, and rose, and circle. But don't you try to put them upon me. I have no space for them although space is all I'm made of.
Let me invite you to enter my sanctuary and look up to the ceiling that is gone. Because only in a church without a roof can you see The Maker as He is - without the man-made filters of right or wrong or both.
Read her like the scriptures
She is a book that requires all your attention. You can't read her matter-of-factly. You have to be in this special mood of worship. You have to wash your feet before you enter. You have to fast before you speak. You have to hold her in your palms like she is a piece from the Vatican treasures that no one has ever laid eyes on. Be very careful with her. If you act all rational, superior and cool like left-hemisphered people usually do, you will turn her into a transient mass of skin, and eyelashes, and opinions on where you should dine.
But read her like the scriptures, and she'll make you holy too.
